About Us
More than a media brand, it’s a movement…
We are the premier platform dedicated to showcasing Black talent, championing underrepresented voices, and providing filmmakers of color with the tools, opportunities, and community they need to thrive in the entertainment industry.
Founded in 2017 as a weekly entertainment news show, The Reel Noire Network has grown into a dynamic ecosystem at the intersection of culture, creativity, and career growth. What started as a space to celebrate Black stories on screen has expanded into a full-fledged media and education hub!
One that empowers Black and Latinx creatives to break through industry barriers and build sustainable careers in media.
We bridge the gap between emerging creatives and mainstream media by offering access to industry education, job opportunities, mentorship, and storytelling platforms. From original content to events and workshops, everything we do is designed to amplify, support, and elevate.
But our purpose doesn’t stop at professional growth. We also created a cultural home, Shit Black Girls Watch. A space where Black women and culture lovers can connect through their shared love of film, TV, and storytelling. Whether you’re an aspiring filmmaker, a media professional, or simply someone who finds joy in Black stories, you belong here.
Our Mission
To create a thriving ecosystem where Black creatives and culture lovers have access to opportunities, community, and representation—whether through career growth in media or building meaningful connections through storytelling and shared experiences.
Our Vision
A world where Black stories are seen, appreciated, and valued.
